AI trends: What to expect from artificial intelligence in 2025?

The Pitch Avatar team shares its forecasts based on current trends in the development and adoption of AI technologies.

Artificial intelligence will remain a profitable avenue for business and investment

We’re not just talking about 2025 – but the mid-term outlook as well. In 2024, the global AI market was valued at $184 billion, and it’s projected to grow to $243 billion within the year. Direct investments in generative AI alone have surged, and by 2030 are expected to reach $826 billion (Statista). Meanwhile, the overall contribution of AI technologies to the global economy is projected to hit $15.7 trillion by 2030 (PwC).

Of course, these numbers are only rough benchmarks. It’s still hard to predict, for example, the exact role AI-powered robots will play in the future. Currently, the global AI robotics market is valued at approximately $19 billion and is projected to grow to $35 billion by 2030 (Statista). However, we believe this forecast is conservative. A much more likely scenario is a rapid surge in the popularity of AI robots over the next decade – particularly in the form of service assistants and companion toys.

Transportation: one of the most promising areas for AI integration

It is projected that by 2035, 75% of all transportation worldwide will be powered or supported by artificial intelligence (Authority Hacker).

AI adoption will continue to accelerate rapidly

As of now, 65% of organizations use AI to some extent. In 72% of companies, AI supports at least one business function (McKinsey & Company). That’s a significant leap compared to just a few years ago, when only a select few had access to AI tools.

Still, it’s clear that AI adoption is far from reaching saturation – let alone slowing down. On the contrary. For instance, only 15% of call centers are currently using AI (Statista), and only 25% of hospitality and travel companies have implemented AI tools for customer communication (Authority Hacker).

There’s still substantial room for growth, even in individual usage. According to McKinsey & Company:

  • 26% of people use generative AI for both personal and work-related tasks
  • 16% use it only for personal purposes
  • 13% use it only for work

Clearly, there’s still a long way to go before AI tools reach universal usage.

AI's impact on the job market will continue to grow

In 2025 alone, AI is expected to displace 85 million jobs – but it will also create 97 million new ones. By 2030, AI-driven job creation is projected to hit 133 million. However, around 375 million people will change their job or profession due to emerging technologies (Authority Hacker).

One notable trend: AI primarily automates routine and non-creative tasks. As a result, top executives and business owners are increasingly investing in reskilling their teams. In fact, 37% of founders and business owners plan to upskill their workforce in the coming years (Hostinger).

That said, creative professionals shouldn’t relax either. Already, 65.8% of people believe that AI-generated content is as good or even better than human-created content (Authority Hacker). For now, this mostly applies to simple text that doesn’t require much creative effort. The internet is flooded with low-quality content, which makes it easy for AI to match or exceed the current standard.

But as AI tools become more advanced, they may begin to compete even with seasoned professionals. To stay ahead, creatives must start mastering AI tools today. This doesn’t only apply to digital content creators – but to all professionals in creative fields.
